Weekly snapshot: Russian fossil fuel exports 21-27 November 2022

The Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) has released its weekly update on fossil fuel exports from Russia.

The week of 21 to 27 November 2022, the EU and China continue to be the top importers of Russian fossil fuels, followed by Turkey, South Korea and India.

Crude oil featured heavily in the EU’s, China’s, South Korea’s and India’s imported fuel mix, whereas pipeline gas dominated Turkey’s imports.

Out of the EU countries, the top five EU importers of Russian fossil fuels were Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Out of the top five importer ports, three were in Europe and two in Asia.
